Korg Kaossilator - Motivational Music Creation for All

“Hands off” is not an option…

The KAOSSILATOR packs Korg's world-renowned synth sound along with innovative performance features into an ultra-compact unit incorporating 100 sounds each of which can be manipulated and morphed through the intuitive touch pad sensor.

Anyone can instantly play musical phrases by simply tapping or sliding their finger across the Kaossilator touch pad – no previous skills required! The Kaossilator is a portable, travel friendly device that runs on batteries, so you can have fun creating music anywhere, with seemingly endless possibilities.

The KAOSSILATOR PRO is a larger unit with many more sounds and additional features making the creation and recording of music incredible fun and instantly accessible to ALL young people regardless of previous musical experience.

The 'PRO' model has 'outputs' that enable instruments and vocals to be recorded using professional recording software. This makes it easy to provide participants with their own music CD, mixed down and ready to take home after the session (the opportunity to take home your own original musical creation on CD or memory stick has always been a very popular feature of MoMent Music projects).

Benefits:

  • Builds confidence (through experimentation and taking risks)
  • Helps with concentration
  • Excellent introduction to music technology
  • Chance to ‘open up’ whilst engaged in task
  • Sense of achievement
  • Undivided ‘one-to-one’ attention in mentoring session

“Personally, I am thrilled by the possibilities for this type of group in the school setting ... Technology Integration in Music Education” Dr. James Frankel

Kaossilator sessions are 60-120 minutes long and on a one-to-one or small group basis (maximum of 3 participants per staff member/music leader).
